From the previous picture, the trail turns right and goes downhill beside this falls, then crosses on a bridge from which this picture was taken. Just below the bridge is the brink of Hickory Nut Falls (next picture). You can go up to the base of this small falls for a refreshing splash, but please be careful.  There are metal grates under the bridge which would hopefully stop anyone who slipped from going over Hickory Nut Falls, but I wouldn't rely on them to save my life deliberately.
