Vegetation on Whiteside Mountain

Rare mosses and grasses grow on the rocks, as well as wildflowers, and mountain laurel blooms around the edges of cliffside clearings. Pock-marks in the rock make great places to put the legs of your tripod! Trees on the summit include white pine, hemlock, oak, and a host of various others, including at least one young red spruce.
