Hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway, Section 1

General Information

Traveling from the Virginia state line to Jumpingoff Rocks, this portion of the parkway travels along the Blue Ridge Escarpment. Here the high, rolling hills and mountains of the Appalachians drop off sharply into the Piedmont section of North Carolina. Several excellent parks and trails are located along this section of the All American Road. Keep checking this section for more information!
