Linn Cove Viaduct Access
Other Map ID: BRP MP 304.4
This easy, paved path provides access to the underside of the Linn Cove Viaduct, an engineering marvel of the Blue Ridge Parkway. This structure was built from the top down, allowing the fragile environment beneath it to be relatively undisturbed. The only places where heavy equipment was on the ground was where the support piers were actually poured. This trail continues on as the Tanawah Trail, a 13 mile trek around the side of Grandfather Mountain.
The Lump
Other Map ID: BRP MP 264
This easy trail travels up "the lump", a cleared hillside located beside the Parkway. This hill is great for flying kites and/or model airplanes, which you will often see people doing.
Tompkins Knob
Other Map ID: BRP MP 272.5
This easy path leads to the historic Jesse Brown Cabin.
