Burnt Tree Peninsula

Easy, 1.0mi, Climbs Gently, Some Obstacles

Blaze Color: Green
USGS/USFS Number: 753
Some tight and sharp turns with no unavoidable obstacles. Travels through a young forest of mostly pines and oaks; looks recently burned.

Burrell Cove

Moderate, 1.7mi, Few Hills, Some Obstacles

Blaze Color: Red

Provides access to SABA Beach. There

Central Loop

Moderate, 3.1mi, Few Hills, Some Obstacles

Blaze Color: Yellow
USGS/USFS Number: 750
No unavoidable obstacles. All-access trail to other optional trails. Travels through a mostly young forest, with glimpses of the lake at times. No major stream crossings.

High Point

Moderate, 1.0mi, Climbs Moderately, Moderately Rough

Blaze Color: Orange

Steeper trail with more rocks than others at Jackrabbit Mountain. Nice view from the top.

SABA Beach

Easy, 0.7mi, Few Hills, Moderately Rough

Nearly level trail provides access to SABA Beach.

Sneaking Creek

Moderate, 3.2mi, Few Hills, Some Obstacles

Blaze Color: Brown
Mostly open "lollipop" loop with a few short climbs and descents, and a covered bridge. Longest trail in the Jackrabbit system. At the "tip" of the loop, you're only about 1/10 mile north of the GA state line.

Upper Ridge

Moderate, 1.5mi, Few Hills, Some Obstacles

Blaze Color: Yellow
Small obstacles such as rock crossings and tighter turns. Comes close to the ridgetop where deer like to forage. You'll hear other hikers and riders on the Central Loop, which is not far down the slope from you at most times.

Yotee's Run

Moderate, 1.5mi, Few Hills, Some Obstacles

Blaze Color: Blue
Great views. Short to moderate climbs with somewhat steeper side slopes.
