Looking Back Down from the Summit of Bearwallow Mountain

This is the view back down the road to the west from Bearwallow Mountain's summit. Peaks visible in this view include Mount Pisgah and the Balsams. The pasture - used for grazing cattle - has also been used quite a bit by model airplane enthusiasts over the years. Northwest winds produce excellent ridge lift up here, allowing even non-powered sailplanes to stay in the air indefinitely - as long as the wind blows.
