A high, thin waterfall streams down the side of Craggy Knob during periods of wet weather. Spring, when the Mountain Laurel are in bloom, is usually wet and a good time to go hunting for waterfalls. The famous "notch" in the ridge above the waterfall is where the Blue Ridge Parkway wraps around the end of Craggy Knob.
