Lower Creek Valley

Turning to your right from the previous image, this is what you see: the Lower Creek valley is in the foreground, and the point where the railroad grade rounds Commissary Ridge is in the back right. That is the end point for this hike, though the railroad grade keeps on going. These power line right-of-ways provide spectacular views (minus the lines themselves). As you can see, this railroad grade remains fairly level as it dips into coves and rounds the ends of the ridges. Other trails come and go from both sides - and change the name of the path you're hiking on - but keep going straight for this hike!
