In the past, as you came out of the subway or the Needle's Eye on top of Pulpit Rock, you had this view of the Chimney. Since it was formed from the same geological process as the rocks you're standing on, it could be thought of as the Granddaddy of all Outcroppings! This area is now inaccessible and the structures have all been removed, but the map seems to indicate that it may reopen someday (and there is a connection point for it on the new staircase structure, too).
