Forest Opening on the Deep Gap Trail

A "fir wave" has swept over this part of the Deep Gap trail, removing the trees (temporarily) and opening up the views. Baby firs are growing like crazy in the new-found sunlight among the blackberry canes, and will soon grow up and block the view once again, making this a forest once again.
