Eastern Hemlock Grove in Black Mountain Campground

A dense grove of Eastern Hemlock are preserved near the Black Mountain Campground. Before Hemlock Woolly Adelgid wiped them out, dark stands of hemlock like this were commonplace across the southern Appalachians.
