Blue Ridge Parkway View

Once the fog lifted from the summit, a hazy view opened up to the East, showing the Blue Ridge Parkway and part of the Linn Cove Viaduct on the right, US Hwy. 221 down the mountain from that, and the proposed Grandfather Mountain National Scenic Area - part of the Pisgah National Forest - stretching toward the horizon.
