Split Rail along the New Trail

The trail breaks into the fields shortly. The trail used to travel beside the stream along most of its length, in a very flat area, and it was becoming extremely muddy and eroded. Erosion material was being washed directly into the stream, which is bad for fish and aquatic insects. The relocated trail is still generally level, but built on sloping ground, which allows water to run across the trail instead of down its lenth while gathering power, and causing erosion!
