Closeup of Flat Laurel Creek Valley
A close-up of the high, relatively flat Flat Laurel Creek valley. Cleared by fire, the vegetation has been slow to return. The Flat Laurel Creek trail follows the edge of the spruce-fir forest here, starting in the lower-right of the photo and ending in the upper-left. You can almost see the main Black Balsam parking area at the end of FR 816 there in the upper left.
