Ridgeline on the Hawksbill Trail

The Hawksbill trail reaches the ridgeline in a forest of Carolina hemlock. The trail to the left in this photo leads to the summit. Straight ahead is the trail back down to the parking area. Behind this location is a rock outcrop with a great view of Linville Gorge.
