The view from Mt. Pisgah West toward Cold Mountain after heavy rains. This is the sharp peak on the upper-left hand side of the photo. This mountain was made famous by the book and now movie by the same name, and it is within the Shining Rock Wilderness. The ridge leading to the left from Cold Mountain is the Shining Rock Ledge. Shining Rock itself is on the other side of the ridge, in the clouds.
