After going around the first unnamed peak on the Old Mitchell Trail, you come to the park restaurant. This is also where you get your first view of the summit, in the upper-right of the picture (but the tower is gone now). Cross the lawn and head toward the parking area. A nature trail follows a rope around the edge of the lawn. Pick up a guide to it inside the restaurant. The Old Mitchell trail picks up again on the right side of the parking area to climb the next peak (in the upper left of this picture).
