The new Skyline trail at Chimney Rock Park ends above the cascades on Fall Creek. The Skyline trail is really only a replacement in name only, and bears little resemblance to the old one. The view from here at the end of the trail, at the upper cascades above the brink of Hickory Nut Falls, is not bad - but it's also nothing like being able to get down close to the falls. It's a much safer area, however.
