Steep Steps on the Stone Mountain Loop

The back side of the Stone Mountain loop trail is rougher, and has many sets of steep steps such as these as it climbs toward the summit. It also has a smattering of rhododendron and mountain laurel which bloom in late May, as well as some views that differ from other angles, making it worth the challenge.
