Glassy Mountain Trail

At A Glance

1.5 mi one-way

Difficulty Rating: 1.5
Steepness: Climbs Moderately
Tread Condition: Some Obstacles
Blaze Color: Green

Also called just the "Glassy" trail, this one climbs from near the main house up to the round, flat summit of Glassy Mountain, which is the highest point in the park at 2783' elevation. This one is a bit steeper and is longer than the rest of the trails here. It passes an old reservoir and a couple of rock outcroppings thru a pleasant forest with lots of white pines, some of them quite large, before ending at a larger rock opening with a view to the northwest.

Donna Luzzi said: The hike was beautiful. Stopped to see the goats which I do twice a year when visiting my sister. We hiked to the top of Glassy mountain, the energy and beauty on the top of that mountain was majestic!!
