Grandfather Mountain

The "Profile" for which Grandfather Mountain is named. Grandfather Mountain is the highest mountain along the Blue Ridge at 5,900 feet. From a distance, it looks like an old man lying down, with his forehead in the upper-left hand side of this photo. However, a great trail follows the ridge that forms his profile!
