National Geographic Trails Illustrated #779: Linville Gorge - Mount Mitchell

The trailhead area is shown on this map, but the trail itself is not visible. Look at the very bottom of the Mt. Mitchell side of the map, below I-40. The trail starts at the end of Catawba River Road (which is shown), and leads to the steep section of the river just past where Chestnut Branch splits off, above the label for Allison Ridge.
