Cove Creek Falls Trail

Tread Condition: Moderately Rough
Hikes That Use This Trail: Cove Creek and Caney Bottom

This trail is located in the Davidson River area. For a list of all the trails in that area, see the Davidson River trails list page.

Descends from the Cove Creek trail on a fairly steep course through a switchback to the bottom of Cove Creek Falls. Keep right at the side paths leading to the top of the falls; it's not safe to explore that area and the view is no good anyway. Keep left at the switchback; the falls will be to your left at that point.

An unofficial trail leads from the opposite side of the creek at the bottom of the falls, down to the second Cove Creek group campsite. It shares a short section with the Caney Bottom trail along Cove Creek. Hike that portion at your own risk, because the Forest Service hasn't sanctioned it yet.
